"He has been around Basketball, well sports rather his entire life," Amaree said to the Maple Press Saturday night. "Bringing him on board was a no brainer, his knowledge and passion for the game and about how it's really a tool to success is why I personally asked him to come on board." Welch approved by the 94th committee Monday night, will be only amongst a five coaching ballot. "I remember when metri first told me about his vision for his academy before it even got to where it is now," said Welch. "So me being here is an honor and I look forward to bringing my ones and twos to the table and making a real difference." The Academy resumes its fall class December 3rd.
